Well what is there to say, most malls these days are a ghost town. There are a lot of closed stores here. They lost the Sears a few years ago. There are still shops open. There is a sports training facility in the mall. I have seen of malls finally allow fitness clubs, gymnastics or training facilities like the one here. They need to generate income if there is any hope to stay open. The food court still has a variety and the movie theater always has the latest movies. There are still a lot of resturants out front of the mall so hopefully they will have enough traffic to stay in business.
Really great mall! Although it does not have all of the high end shops found at boutique malls like the Simon malls, it still has a wide selection of stores which has its own charm. When walking through, you can really tell that this used to be a great mall back in the day and is worth a trip to at least walk through!
Pittsburgh Mills should never have been built. It was fought for years, to the point that is actually built by the grandchildren of the man who proposed it. By the time it was built the industrial boom of Pittsburgh was over. The result is a mall that is almost completely deserted at what would be peak traffic hours in a healthy economy. Sears closed along with a third of the shops in the Galleria and two thirds of the food court. It's a nice place to shop cause it's empty most of the time. It's so empty that it was used as a parking lot for the recent US Open at Oakmont. If you're in the area go see it before it's abandoned.
This place is slowly going out of business. Most of the big stores have gone and the restaurants have left. The only good thing here is the movie theater. The stores are being replaced with businesses like gyms, churches, and schools. This is not a booming mall like it used to be. It is a real waste of space now.
This mall is so big it has every store you will need. Easy access to all stores. Good parking. Great shopping. THIS IS A VERY GOOD MALL THE MOVIE THEATERS ARE FANTASTIC GO BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY. NICE AND CLEAN PLUS VERY COMFORTABLE!!!
